The Buyer is a full-time position in our Jupiter Florida office. The Buyer will perform the day-to-day purchase activities involved with procuring goods and services in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and a Contractor Purchasing System Requirements (CPSR). Knowledge of Cost Point a plus.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Work directly with Manufacturing Engineers for processing of requisitions.
• Reviews requisitions for formal RFQ processing and submittal to suppliers
• Works with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
• Obtain multiple quotes for supplies and services to establish competitive pricing benchmarks.
• Willingness to work in a fast paced environment
• Obtain vendor set up information and help set up new vendors in compliance with Government requirements.
• Award purchase orders in accordance with the FAR.
• Obtains material from supplier at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need
• Prepare purchase orders using COSTPOINT..
• Obtains certifications of delivery and conducts check against order.
• Communicate Purchase Order/ project status with internal customers
• Maintain required procurement records associated with CPSR

Minimum Requirements:

• Related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college university.
• Individual must be able to read analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.
• Note: US Citizenship is required.

• Overall work is reviewed primarily for adequacy in meeting objectives.
• Contact within the organization requires negotiation with other teams to gain acceptance of ideas in adversarial or potential conflict situations.
